My art is an effort to express a benevolent vision of the world. Whether it's a tea cup or a dog asking to be patted, I strive to look on my subjects with kindness and imbue them with selves.
I look to express the moment that an animal looks into your eyes and you believe for a second that you know what they’re thinking.
My inspiration comes from animals and the Maine and New Hampshire seacoasts.
My color palette reflects the emotions I feel for my subjects and the lazy summer light I envision them in.
